Pie plates are always a great gift to give any hostess. Even if they already have one, another is always welcome. If they seem like the baking type, go for an unconventional, display type of pie plate instead of the traditional glass.

Spicing up a pie plate gift is really quite easy. Try giving her all of the dry ingredients to a great apple pie recipe. Combine the flour and salt in a clear bag. Add a can of apple filling. Print labels featuring a beautiful font. Maybe even add a pastry blender or flour sifter to complete the theme.

You could even go ahead an actually bake a pie in the plate and let her know that the plate is hers to keep!
