About Me
I'm Susie and as you may have guessed, I am a great pie enthusiast. My love affair with pies began with finding out that I am lactose intolerant! With my life being robbed of dairy, needless to say, I was devastated. My favorite meal was dessert! But after moping around, believing my life was over, I found that there was one last ray of hope in my dairy-less world. Pies! I found that pie recipes were the easiest to manipulate without dairy. I became obsessed. I also found that if you still substituted a few more ingredients- you couldmake them healthier, or sugar-free, or even vegan! This versatile little dessert became a hobby. A hobby that I wanted to share with you. It does not matter if you want a simple dessert, to wow your friends, to bring something spectacular to potluck or if you are nutritionally challenged, like myself.
